I believe my role as a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor is to guide patients toward health, balance, and well-being, facilitating each woman's journey back to herself.
This belief stems from my own transformative experiences as both a patient and now a provider at Fifth Avenue Fertility Wellness.
At 19, faced with a devastating health scare, I delved into every health resource available, guided by a family ethos embracing both Eastern and Western medicine. Raised by a father who was a prominent Tai Chi and Qi Gong master, my upbringing instilled in me a deep reverence for the healing arts. At birth, I was given Lao Tzu as a middle name and was brought up in a Taoist lineage. My father introduced me to Angela, who not only helped me heal my condition but became a cherished mentor.
Continuing my work with her, I sought to reclaim my health after years of reliance on birth control which led to unexplained amenorrhea. While acupuncture quickly regulated my cycles, our sessions transcended physical healing, feeling more like therapy for my soul.
Under Angela’s guidance, I found the courage to question my goals and desires. Despite a successful career as a New York City actress with appearances on shows like Law and Order and a drama degree from NYU, I felt constrained by constantly seeking validation and giving away my personal power. This realization sparked a profound shift toward Eastern Medicine, where I could authentically serve others and fulfill my purpose.
Embracing this new path, I explored diverse modalities—from fertility-focused yoga teaching to supporting women during childbirth as a certified doula. Following my inner calling, I completed my doctorate in Chinese Medicine and became a trauma-informed somatic practitioner.
Today, I am privileged to empower women on their healing journeys, echoing the support I received from Angela.
Outside of work, you’ll find me performing with multiple bands across NYC, deepening my yoga practice, exploring new destinations, and enjoying time with loved ones—including my quirky cat, Joplin.
