About Fifth Avenue Fertility Wellness
-
To support your reproductive health from preconception through perimenopause. Through Traditional Chinese Medicine, somatic healing, and evidence-based protocols, we address root causes rather than managing symptoms. Our work honors the body's innate capacity to heal when given the right conditions.
-
Whether you're trying to conceive, moving through perimenopause, or seeking greater vitality, we offer integrative care that goes beyond acupuncture. We address the underlying causes of imbalance affecting your fertility and health, creating space for physical, emotional, and nervous system healing. Many women come for one concern and stay because they feel better in their bodies and their lives.
-
We are the only fertility clinic in Manhattan that is fully green and non-toxic, integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine, somatic healing, biohacking, and longevity medicine under one roof. All of our practitioners are trauma-informed, trained to work with the nervous system and the ways stress and past experiences live in the body.
We've spent 25 years developing an approach that blends time-honored wisdom with research-informed practices. We take the time to listen deeply and craft personalized protocols. We work with your body rather than override it. No templates, no surface-level fixes, just whole-person care that meets you where you are.
-
You're committed to enhancing your physical, emotional, and hormonal health through personalized, integrative care. You may be navigating fertility challenges, preparing for pregnancy, recovering from loss, or moving through perimenopause or menopause. What matters most is your openness to growth, healing, and trusting your body again.
-
Yes. We work alongside leading fertility physicians in New York City and coordinate care with your team of providers. Dr. Angela Le and Dr. Sami David built their practices together, forming the only green, integrative, and somatic fertility practice in the country. We offer pre and post transfer acupuncture at CCRM and support patients from fertility clinics throughout Manhattan.
-
Our Upper East Side Manhattan clinic, at Fifth Avenue and 86th Street directly across from Central Park, is a sanctuary in the city. Many women tell us that when they're here, they can finally exhale. We're committed to results and to creating space for rest and reconnection.
About the Practice
-
Yes. Research shows acupuncture can improve blood flow to reproductive organs, regulate hormones, reduce stress, and support IVF outcomes. Our team has supported thousands of women through fertility challenges using acupuncture alongside herbal medicine and somatic healing. Many come to us after failed IVF cycles and go on to conceive.
-
Acupuncture needles are hair-thin and most people feel little to no discomfort. You may feel a brief sensation when the needle is inserted, followed by deep relaxation. Many patients fall asleep during treatment.
-
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive medical system with over 5,000 years of history. It prioritizes treating root causes rather than just symptoms and recognizes the interconnectedness of body, mind, and emotions. For fertility, TCM addresses underlying factors affecting conception, including irregular cycles, PCOS, endometriosis, diminished ovarian reserve, egg quality, uterine blood flow, recurrent miscarriage, unexplained infertility, sperm function, and stress.
-
Acupuncture involves inserting fine needles into specific points on the body to regulate energy flow. For fertility, it can balance the endocrine system, improve blood flow to reproductive organs, improve ovarian function, optimize sperm parameters, regulate cycles, and reduce stress. Your practitioner will customize your treatment plan based on your specific symptoms and needs.
-
Soma means body. Somatic healing is a mind-body approach that helps release stress and tension stored in your body. When we experience stress or trauma, it becomes held in the body and affects our nervous system, often without our conscious awareness.
For anything to grow, whether a baby or your potential in life, there must be a baseline of safety in your body. When your nervous system is in survival mode, your body deprioritizes reproduction. Through practices like breathwork, movement, and touch, somatic work helps regulate the nervous system and create the internal safety your body needs.
About the Healing Journey
-
The earlier the better. Because this is natural medicine, your body benefits from time to respond. Three months before an IVF cycle is ideal, but if your timeline is shorter, we'll work with what you have and still create meaningful results.
-
Your first visit is comprehensive and designed to give you clarity, direction, and immediate support. We'll conduct a thorough assessment to understand your health and challenges, create a personalized treatment plan, recommend targeted supplements, and provide acupuncture. You'll leave with a clear plan and the knowledge that you're being comprehensively cared for.
-
Most women feel deeply relaxed after treatment. Some notice increased energy, better sleep, or a sense of calm that lasts for days. Occasionally you may feel tired or emotional as your body processes the session. We recommend drinking water and resting when possible after your appointment.
-
Because the body holds experiences that the mind may not consciously remember, and those experiences affect your physiology. When practitioners understand how trauma and chronic stress live in the nervous system, they can work with your body more skillfully and create a safer healing environment. This approach allows us to address what's actually affecting your fertility and vitality, not just the surface symptoms.
-
Yes. Trauma doesn't have to mean something catastrophic happened to you. It's simply stress that didn't complete its cycle in your body. Most of us carry some of this, whether from difficult relationships, medical procedures, losses, or the accumulated stress of daily life. Addressing what's stored in your body can shift what's been stuck, even if you wouldn't use the word trauma to describe your experience.
-
Yes. We've helped many women transition from unsuccessful IVF cycles to successful natural conception. We can never promise you'll get pregnant, but we can assure you that you will feel better working with us if you commit to the process. Our approach addresses the underlying factors affecting your fertility and prepares your body for conception, whether you pursue natural conception or return to assisted reproduction.

We address factors that may not be getting attention in conventional treatment, including stress, nervous system regulation, nutrient status, and the underlying patterns affecting your body's capacity to conceive.
-
Yes. We support men for male factor infertility, sperm health optimization, and stress reduction. Fertility is a shared journey, and addressing both partners often improves outcomes.
-

-
Yes. Traditional Chinese Medicine has been supporting women through perimenopause and menopause for thousands of years. Through acupuncture, herbal medicine, and personalized protocols, we address hot flashes, sleep disruption, mood changes, hormone imbalances, low libido, and fatigue.
Our approach looks at the root causes of your symptoms rather than managing them one by one. Many women find that treatment brings relief they didn't experience with conventional approaches alone.
For women who want to go deeper, we also offer Embodied Perimenopause Coaching, a 6-month program addressing the nervous system and emotional shifts that come with this transition.
-
Yes. While we offer comprehensive care beyond acupuncture, you are welcome to receive acupuncture treatment only.
-
If you've been doing everything right and still feel stuck, there may be something deeper asking for attention. Nervous system patterns, stored stress, relationship dynamics, or life circumstances that no amount of acupuncture can address on its own. Our Embodiment and Healing programs and Rebirth and Reclaim mentorship work with these deeper layers. We'll help you discern what's right for you.
Our Three Paths
-
We offer three paths to meet you where you are:
Path 1: Fertility and Health. Acupuncture, herbal medicine, and health optimization to restore balance in your body. Support for PCOS, endometriosis, hormonal imbalances, male factor infertility, pregnancy loss, diminished ovarian reserve, fibroids, autoimmune conditions, and more.
Path 2: Embodiment and Healing. Embodied Fertility Coaching and Embodied Perimenopause Coaching for women ready to go deeper. Both are 6-month programs available virtually or in person at our Manhattan clinic.
Path 3: Rebirth and Reclaim. Transformational mentorship for women ready to come home to themselves. A year of personalized work addressing relationships, health, career, sexuality, spirituality, and purpose.
