About Fifth Avenue Fertility Wellness
-
To support your reproductive health from preconception through perimenopause. Through Traditional Chinese Medicine, somatic healing, and evidence-based protocols, we address root causes rather than managing symptoms. Our work honors the body's innate capacity to heal when given the right conditions.
-
Whether you're trying to conceive, moving through perimenopause, or seeking greater vitality, we offer integrative care that goes beyond acupuncture. We address the underlying causes of imbalance affecting your fertility and health, creating space for physical, emotional, and nervous system healing. Many women come for one concern and stay because they feel better in their bodies and their lives.
-
We are the only fertility clinic in Manhattan that is fully green and non-toxic, integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine, somatic healing, biohacking, and longevity medicine under one roof. All of our practitioners are trauma-informed, trained to work with the nervous system and the ways stress and past experiences live in the body.
We've spent 25 years developing an approach that blends time-honored wisdom with research-informed practices. We take the time to listen deeply and craft personalized protocols. We work with your body rather than override it. No templates, no surface-level fixes, just whole-person care that meets you where you are.
-
You're committed to enhancing your physical, emotional, and hormonal health through personalized, integrative care. You may be navigating fertility challenges, preparing for pregnancy, recovering from loss, or moving through perimenopause or menopause. What matters most is your openness to growth, healing, and trusting your body again.
-
Yes. We work alongside leading fertility physicians in New York City and coordinate care with your team of providers. Dr. Angela Le and Dr. Sami David built their practices together, forming the only green, integrative, and somatic fertility practice in the country. We offer pre and post transfer acupuncture at CCRM and support patients from fertility clinics throughout Manhattan.
-
Our Upper East Side Manhattan clinic, at Fifth Avenue and 86th Street directly across from Central Park, is a sanctuary in the city. Many women tell us that when they're here, they can finally exhale. We're committed to results and to creating space for rest and reconnection.
About the Practice
-
Acupuncture is used throughout preconception, fertility treatment, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause.
Treatment is based on your individual Chinese medicine presentation and evolves as your symptoms, health, and stage of life change.
-
Acupuncture needles are extremely thin, and most people experience little discomfort.
You may notice a brief sensation when a needle is placed, followed by warmth, heaviness, tingling, or relaxation. Many patients rest or fall asleep during treatment.
-
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive medical system with over 5,000 years of history. It prioritizes treating root causes rather than just symptoms and recognizes the interconnectedness of body, mind, and emotions. For fertility, TCM addresses underlying factors affecting conception, including irregular cycles, PCOS, endometriosis, diminished ovarian reserve, egg quality, uterine blood flow, recurrent miscarriage, unexplained infertility, sperm function, and stress.
-
Lifestyle Medicine looks at the everyday factors influencing reproductive, hormonal, metabolic, and long-term health.
Depending on your needs, care may include nutrition, sleep, movement, metabolic health, supplements, recovery, environmental exposures, wearable data, and daily routines.
The focus is on identifying what deserves your attention and creating an approach that is relevant and realistic for your life.
-
Somatic Healing works with the relationship between the body, nervous system, and lived experience.
At FAFW, this may include Somatic Experiencing®, the Safe and Sound Protocol, mindfulness, breath practices, nervous system education, and other trauma-informed approaches.
It can be especially relevant for anxiety, chronic stress, fertility treatment, pregnancy loss, difficult medical experiences, pregnancy after loss, and changes in stress tolerance during perimenopause.
About the Healing Process
-
The earlier the better. Because this is natural medicine, your body benefits from time to respond. Three months before an IVF cycle is ideal, but if your timeline is shorter, we'll work with what you have and still create meaningful results.
-
Your first visit gives us time to understand your health history, current concerns, reproductive or hormonal health, lifestyle, and relevant medical care.
For acupuncture patients, the visit also includes a Chinese medicine assessment and treatment. We will discuss what appears most relevant and recommend a plan for moving forward.
