RaQuel’s story:

“I sought out Angela because I was looking for an alternative to all the western medical chaos I was experiencing while seeking answers about my infertility. I was tired of feeling lost in a maze of fertility theories; tired of paying for various “experts” to tell me my infertility was unexplained; tired of being pressured to participate in IVF while no one could tell me why I wasn’t getting pregnant; tired of being led down paths of medications, painful tests, mountains of supplements, and feeling more lost than ever; tired of trusting “the system” instead of my own intuition.”

I just felt like there was another answer out there. I felt like I needed a practitioner that could help me find my own answer which, inevitably, was inside of me.

When I started with Angela, I wasn’t expecting the journey I was about to embark on. I was blind to the medical trauma I had experienced previously; I was numb to the pain and stress I was holding in my body; I was disconnected from my own inner truth/intuition – I felt powerless regarding my own fertility.

Angela created a safe space to bring to light, explore, and resolve all of these issues. 

Her work with me went so far beyond acupuncture, or what my conception of acupuncture was. Her observations were keen and sharp, which brought so much to light and gave me so much perspective and awareness. She introduced various breathwork techniques which helped release trapped emotion, stress, and negative energy in my body. She posed questions to me that shined light on things I hadn’t thought about or had dismissed as not important. 

My previous experiences with acupuncture were painful and distressing – that was never the case with Angela. She went slow, talked me through things, took her time, allowed me to dictate the terms of my sessions/treatment; allowed me the freedom to speak up when something was uncomfortable or too much with no judgment. She created a very safe space for me to heal.

In addition, Angela introduced me to other practitioners which complemented our work together and allowed for deeper healing and/or a more expansive treatment plan. Everyone I met through Angela was aligned with my goals, energy, and vibration. And everyone treated me and my husband with respect and made space for us to participate in our treatments – meaning no one was paternalistic. Angela and her contemporaries allowed me to shine the light on the practitioner inside of me and follow my own intuition.

Angela empowered me to follow my own intuition. Angela also helped me bring my own inner practitioner to all medical situations. I also allow my knowledge of my body and my intuition to be a part of all my medical interactions (i.e., treatments and procedures). 

I still work with Angela today, but our work has progressed tremendously. I first saw Angela for infertility matters, and now I’m a mother to a healthy baby girl that I delivered naturally at 45 years old.
